About the Project

Glide is Guyana’s first official roller skating event, created to bring the joy, energy, and nostalgia of skating to people of all ages and skill levels. I was responsible for developing the visual branding for Glide, which extended to the first official event and the creation of core brand assets. This included designing both digital and printed materials for social media and event promotion, as well as designing the website to reflect the brand’s vibrant personality.

The Goal

The goal was to build a bold, fun, and recognisable visual identity that captures the retro, nostalgic spirit of roller skating while feeling fresh and inclusive. The branding needed to be flexible enough to evolve for each yearly event, while maintaining consistent core elements such as colour palette, typography, and overall aesthetic to ensure long term recognition.

The Results

The final result was a cohesive brand identity applied across social media graphics, promotional materials, event signage, and a custom website that closely matches the Glide vibe. While each event introduces its own unique visual flavour, the retro theme, nostalgic feel, and key brand elements remain consistent. Together, these designs successfully communicate the excitement of Guyana’s first roller skating event and help establish Glide as a memorable and growing experience.
